It’s with tears of joy that Celine Dion received a honorary doctorate from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. During her thank you speech, she mentioned how important school of life can be, but also urged the students to stay in school and achieve a higher level of education while never letting go of their dreams.
Celine, the youngest of 14 children, was born and raised in Charlemagne, a small village north of Montreal. She started her singing career at a very young age and never finished high school.
The diva was in town this week for a free outdoor concert organized to celebrate Quebec City’s 400th anniversary.
